This brilliant artwork is framed by Grey Stained Ash — a richly grained, natural open-pore wood. The wood is hand-stained and enriched with shimmering microscopic metallic particles, using techniques that exceeded four years of development.
The seats are adorned with Duality Twill, a new rayon fabric crafted from bamboo, inspired by an extensive bamboo grove at Le Jardin Méditerranées on the Côte d’Azur — the neighbour to Sir Henry Royce’s former winter home, Villa Mimosa. The fabric took over a year to develop in collaboration with a single master weaver. A complete Duality Twill interior requires up to 2.2 million stitches and 11 miles of thread, meticulously crafted over 20 hours.
The textile features an abstract embroidered ‘Duality’ graphic that reinterprets the interlinked ‘R’ of our co-founders’ initials and the interweaving rope lines of sailing yachts found in the French Riviera.
With the enhanced Bespoke Audio system, the Starlight Headliner is transformed into an expansive overhead soundscape. The fibre-optic cables used to create the cosmic scene are compressed with a special acoustic membrane that channels sound down into the cabin. Active microphones balance the frequencies, independently adjusting the sound for an immersive listening experience.
